Did two things in the last week - one I hadn't done for a long time and one was my first time doing. Both were fun!! Didn't have a camera for either occasion but wanted to share just the same.
My Mom's been in town for the last few weeks and we went out to play Bingo - I haven't played in at least 15 years - and didn't really play then. I really have only gone to keep my Mom company.
But I have to tell you it's really crazy!! A couple of things - I thought it was expensive to play - But then I think gambling is expensive since you don't really expect to get anything back for your money or efforts. You think we're in a recession - well - not in the BINGO HALL - a sheet like the one on the right was $20 and everyone had muliples. Plus they were buying these crazy little tear-a-part cards that they would open and then through them on the floor. That was too funny!!
I know the object is to open one with some BIG BUCKS in it!! Not sure if that happened. I was grateful for two things - one being with my Mom - she had fun!! Also, grateful they're not allowed to smoke in the Bingo Halls any longer. If your looking for some crazy ladies to spend your night with - then the Bingo Hall is for you.
The other thing I did was a little more up my alley - We've been canoer's (if that's a word) forever. But since we're going up to Maine the Kayak is the mode of transportation up there. So Tom and I took a Kayak Class last night at the Mentor Lagoons. We each had our own. I had a Sea Kayak that you sit inside of and Tom had one that was smaller that you sit on top of.
What a great time. We had a great teacher, perfect weather and very calm waters. We were out for an 1-1/2 hours or so just floating along - very peaceful.
I highly recommend Kayaking - I felt I got something for my money. Hopefully I'll be able to post some pics of Tom and I up in Maine.
Well, thanks for listening to me ramble - just wanted to share. LB
