This is the completed Maya Road 3 X 8 2-Ring Chipboard Layer Book that we received in our Club Kits last month.
This is the beginning - the little naked book, rings and beautiful Silhouette Paper {Buy It!} from Close To My Heart. Close To My Heart made it easy for me by matching up the paper, stickease and ribbons - too cool!! A glue stick, a bone folder, some favorite pics and I ended up with this darling little keepsake book - yep! I'm keepin' it!!
This really went together quickly - what took the most time was deciding what photo's to use - then cropping those down and printing them in black and white. I have lots and lots of supplies left over - you know the Cosmo Cricket Buck Naked Chipboard Lacing Cards we received in our February Scrapbook Kits - that's my next project with this paper.
Your not in the club yet - really - I can't stand it - what the heck have you been waiting for?!?
How does the Scrapbook Club work?
I get the kit - you get the kit!
I create scrapbook pages, some cards and an altered project.
I list the extra supplies, measurements and directions on a password protected blog.
You copy what I've done from your comfy home surroundings.
For a mere $35.00/month you can become a Scrapbook Club Member too! The shipping is $6.50 for Club Members and then whatever your tax is gets added to that. Pretty simple - oh yes - you can stay in as long or as short as you want - no time commitment.
But let's say you don't like commitments or clubs - well then - you can purchase any kit that is still available for $40.00 with regular shipping of $7.45 plus tax. So if you see a kit here you have to have I just might be able to get it for you.
Either way - drop me a note with your questions and requests - Sept1330@aol.com

That I have 16 pages ready for all you Scrapbook Club Members. I just finished the January and February Kits and made four cards from the scraps. Yep! I still have scraps leftover. I've decided that I'm keeping all the Scrapbook Club Scraps in one spot so I can use paper and embellishments that are leftover on new projects for the Club. The first two cards are from the January Kit - I will list the dimensions for all paper
cutting in the Scrapbook Club Album. You'll also find listed supplies and accessories that were used to create the cards.
I used the same stamp set on all four cards:
Stampin' Up! True Friend
IMPORTANT ANNOUCEMENT:
I am in the process of creating a new Blog that will be only for the Scrapbook Club Members. This blog will be password protected and all club members will be given the password. The blog will have separate albums for each month - my hopes are this will be easier to navigate when you want to work on your kit.
In time I will have all the club pages transferred to that site. Once I have the site completely up and running I'll email everyone. This change will allow me to make it easier for you to work with your kits and also allow me to better control site access. I feel it's important to that the Club Members have the privilege of private access - you've paid for that right.
I'm scanning in the Scrapbook Pages now I will have those posted soon. Thanks for your patience. Make sure to check back - let me know what you think!!
These are two completely scrapped pages from the February "Love Notes" Kit. These two layouts were inspired by the new Close To My Heart Reflections Scrapbook Program.
The first page "Jordan Pond' is from page 54 "Main Frame - Vertical Window".
The second page "One Day Your Life" is inspired from "Main Frame - Quilt Blocks".
The Close To My Heart Reflections Program is different from Cherish and Imagine in that it does not give you cutting guides for your cardstock. What it does give you is basic, essential layouts that have been tried and true over many, many years.
The pages have up-to-date trend setting layouts filled with creative and simple to do techniques. Measurements are given for matting and photos along with placement suggestions. Close To My Heart has once again hit the nail on the head with this must-have scrapbookers tool!

The February Scrapbook Kit will be on our doorsteps soon! The January Scrapbook Kit is sitting here on my work table waiting to be completed. The December Scrapbook Kit - is completed and ready for your approval and inspiration!
First - how stinkin' cute is this little "Joey" of ours?!? Can't take credit for the pics - my daughter Holly had them taken professionally.
The directions and all the details will be posted in the Scrapbook Club Album on the top left sidebar (you can also find this album on the right sidebar listed alphabetically).
You'll be able to see pages 1 thru 6 in the Scrapbook Club Album plus the altered project. I only have the lid done at this point - I used most of the decorator paper that came in the kit so I think I'll need to pull out my Basic Grey Figgy Pudding Paper to finish the Scrapbook In A Box Project.
These photo's of Joey are still from the same professional photo shoot! I can't look at these pics without having a huge grin on my face - the one in the red leather chair really cracks me up!
Since this was the last page I did I just placed some of the leftover decorator paper and cardstock radomly on the page. I will list the measurements of what I did in the Scrapbook Club Album.
The big "J" chipboard letter came in our kit - it is distressed with a little Close To My Heart Chocolate Ink and then tied with a ribbon from a previous kit.
Hint: cut shapes out and then only Cuttlebug half of the shape. Stamp the other half of the shape or use a different cuttlebug embosser plate - then ink it up!
Supplies: Maya Road Bird/Tree Chipboard; Prism Cardstock; Creative Imaginations Winter Vine and Black Polka Dot Scalloped; Jenni Bowlin Studio Black Die-Cut Label Paper; Misc. Red and Black; Close To My Heart Colonial White; Heidi Swapp Ghost Clock; Bohemia Chipboard Letters; Cuttlebug; QuicKutz Cutting Templates used with the Spellbinder; Me & My Big Ideas Chipboard Word and Flower; Basic Grey Winterland Stamp Set
This is going to be a long post because I want to share some scrapped pages with you that my daughter Holly created. I love how they turned out - very fun and creative!
This is Joey's Big Sister - she is such a knockout! A little note here: just an FYI - Grandma's always have bragging rights - that's one of our great privileges!
I'm not sure where all the supplies are from but maybe Holly will leave a comment here and let you know.
Holly whatdoyathink?!?
Now this next page has some self protraits - that is some photo's that Lindsey took of herself - can you tell which ones?
She is one crazy nut!!
Now back to our boy! These are the same photo's I used on my pages but scrapped completely different - they go with the Birthday Boy's Party Theme - Wild Animals - Jungle!
The pages really are fun - with all the cute embellishments. They create the mood for the party!
Lots going on here - love the four square layout in the upper left corner and how Holly added smaller photo's to capture all the sillyness (that's probably not a word - but you get what I mean)
The background paper on these two pages are from Close To My Heart.
Speaking of Close To My Heart they have lots of new things added to the Discounted Items section of my Onine Store - check it out - there are some great savings on Scrapbook Kits, Paper, Ribbon, Stamps and Albums.
Hope these pages inspire you to get out your scrapbooking supplies and scrap a little. Enjoy your weekend. Linda

Just a note: from time to time there will be a password required to enter the Scrapbook Club Album. When the password is set you can locate the Club Album in the right sidebar - there will not be a photo - just the words "Scrapbook Club" - it's under the little bear! I have emailed all members with the password - keep in mind the password is case sensitive. Please email me at Sept1330@aol.com if you have an issues getting into the album. Thanks - Linda

I finished the 8 X 8 Picture PageFrame for scrapbook artists that we received in our November Memory Works Scrapbook Club Kit. I need to be honest here - at first site I had no clue what I was going to do with the Picture It Pageframe, but then the pressure was on to do something, December's Kit is on it's way I needed to be ready for that. Our family had gone to Kalahari Resort for Thanksgiving and we had a nice group photo from Thanksgiving Day. My Mom has a wall of photo's at her place down south so I thought I could include the finished project with her Christmas Gifts. So here you are - all the details will make there way into the Scrapbook Club Album on the right - soon!!
You'll notice I did a digital scrapped page and added my own touch with ribbons. If you know me, you know I have tons of ribbon so that was no problem. The frame really didn't take that much ribbon. I just grabbed colors that went together and complimented the photo and layout. I used a combination of Stampin' Up, Close To My Heart and $1 Ribbons.
The above photo has a terrible glare on it - we were having a beautiful, but cold, sunny day here! Below are two close-ups! If your a club member, I will be happy to print this layout with your photo for you for $3.00. It would be the same layout you see here and you would need to be come here to pick it up. I could probably do it with an emailed photo but if that doesn't appear clear enough to me than I would need the original. Contact me for more discussion on this.

All the details and measurements can be found in the Memory Works Scrapbook Club Album on the right (for some reason it has dissappeared - working on that right now!)

Your excited to get the two-page layouts ready for your scrapbook so you can relive the special events in your life, or that fabulous trip you just took or recall the special moment a new little one came into your life. But when you open the cover to your scrapbook your staring at a blank page - what to do with it - how can you express what's to follow - here's the solution. I was so excited to scrap this page - the clock face is a clear Heidi Swapp Clock Overlay that was included in the August Memory Works Express Scrapbook Kit Club. Words on clock face: life is not measured by minutes but moments. (the scan is cutting some of the edge of the page off - all directions will be the Memory Works Scrapbook Club Album on the right.)

These are the first two of eight pages that I'll be creating from the July Memory Works Scrapbook Kit: See the end of the post to learn more about joing the Memory Works Scrapbook Club.

I'll be adding more - of course - looking foward to using the other papers!

Not only was this fun to create it was easy - and your only seeing the outside right now - I'll post the inside soon! If you remember I decorated a 7 Gypsies Board Book with the Close To My Heart Route 66 Paper Pack and Route 66 Stickease for our trip to Lake George - well, I still had left over paper from that project. SO.....I decorated this darling 7 Gypsies Purse Album. All the very detailed directions will be posted in the Memory Works Scrapbook Club Album (members only!)
The front is kept shut with a piece of Close To My Heart Waxy Flax looped around a WeRMemory Makers large snap - the snap was adhered using the very cool Crop-a-dile from WeRMemory Makers. The dangling brass star is from my stash. When your at garage/house sales check out the little junk boxes - you'll be surprised at what you'll find.
To get a really great snug fit with the paper just use a glue stick and a bone folder. The handle is two pieces of ribbon from the same Close To My Heart Cranberry Collection Ribbon I used last month. I still have plenty of paper and supplies left over for the accordian album that's hidden inside.

These cards were made from the left over decorative paper from the May Memory Works Club. Check the Memory Works Album on the right hand side of the blog for all the details. They would make darling graduation or birthday cards for the younger set.
This is the board book from 7 Gypsies that was included in our May Club Kit. I've covered it with the Close To My Heart Route 66 Level 2 Paper and used a few of the Stickease from that same set and the Close To My Heart Cranberry Collection Ribbon Round. I'm taking this with us when we go camping to Lake George in New York State next month. I'll take my little Epson Photo Printer with me, my trimmer, adhesive, the remaining stickease and paper and finish the book as we explore the area. I'll post the completed book in the Memory Works Club Album.

I'm very excited to post these layouts for two reasons. First I'm excited to share our special celebration from May 5, 2007 of Lindsey's 1st Communion and Joey's Baptism. The sun was shining, the sky was blue and all the moments were perfect. Holly and John did a wonderful job of celebrating this special time.
These layouts are also for those of you that belong to the Memory Works Monthly Express Club. The following pages have been scrapped using the April Spring Bling Kit and Close To My Heart Cherish for the layout designs. These will also be listed under Photo Albums (to the right) under Memory Works Express Club. All the details are posted in the ablum - check it out! Hope you feel inspired to get your pages done - please bring them to the next class!
These are waiting to be scrapped but just wanted to share the other four pages I made from the Memory Works May Spring Bling Express Kit.
This fun can and the cards were also made using this same kit - the Memory Works May Spring Bling Express Kit. The May kit is here and I'm excited to get started designing with it.

This is my longest post every - but I feel it's a very important post for all of you that are scrapbookers and for you that are wannabee scrappers - for two reasons. One, I truly feel the Memory Works monthly Express Kit is an awesome value - so far I have scrapped four completed pages and four prepped pages using the materials from the kit. I have a good start on this mini Chipboard Album for my Mom for Mothers Day and still have lots of materials left over. Scrapbookers This Is For You - the layouts are all created with the HELP of Close To My Heart Cherish - and Memory Works Express Kit "Homemade Blessings" - here is a photo of my latest project with some of my leftovers - not showing: envies, tags, labels and alpha letters.
Close up of the mini photo album I'm making for my Mom for Mother's Day. She lives in South Carolina but has a small house up here in Ohio - the mini album will be filled with family photo's from her house in Ohio. Just about everything is from the kit - except the pin, waxy flax and gold heart. Used Close To My Heart Liquid glue for gluing the pattern paper to the chipboard and adhering everything else in the album - it holds the best of any of the different types of glue.
These are four layouts I made using the Memory Works Homemade Blessings Express Kit with the help of Close To My Heart Cherish.
These are completed layouts using the Memory Works Express Kit Homemade Blessings (April's Kit)
The nuts and blots of Scrap Booking - Cherish. Cherish has 50 two page layouts referenced in the front of the book - the sample you see below is of the reference section. So that would be 100 layouts - but - you can turn each of those a quarter turn giving you a total of 400 layouts.
The reference guide also lists how many photo's you can get on each of the two page layouts - now turn to the page of the layout you've chose: You will see exactly how many sheets of plain cardstock you need and how many sheets of pattered paper you need - and how to cut the paper with the least amount of waste. Each piece is marked so it corresponds to the layout diagram.
The Memory Works Monthly Express Club Kit is another fantastic gift to all of us scrapbookers and card makers - As you can see the Homemade Blessings Kit from April helped create some beautiful pages and a darling mini album and I still have plenty of supplies left for cards. Again, I am sharing this with you because it has made my Scrapbooking a breeze.

Still working with my Home Made Blessings Kit - these are the last two pages of our Camping/Idlewild getaway with our two incredible granddaughters.
One of my favorite photo's on the bottom page is the girls walking across the rope bridge - I had to trim it down a little - it probably would have been one of those photo's to do a single layout on. Used the stamp from the Stampin' Up! Spring Mini Catalog - Office Accoutrement - that says "Important message .... please return" - thought that was perfect - yes, we'll be back this year for our annual trip!
Had a little dilema with the photo of my Tom and Amelia - in one photo he looked good and one photo she looked good - so I punched out her good photo with a Stampi' Up! Square Punch and mounted it on a square metal brass tag - I'm going to have to remember this - I've run into this problem before.
Hope it inspires you. Thanks for looking.

That's my lament - while we wait for winter to pass. Lisa and I just joined the MemoryWorks Express Club - we get a huge box of goodies every month - and the March kit arrived yesterday. So to help with the blues of not being able to camp yet I decided to scrap a camping trip we took with our granddaughters to Pennslyvania last summer. We have been going to Idlewild Amusement Park for the last three years with them - it's this darling old fashioned park that was started by Mr. Rogers - your friendly neighbor. I also used the Close to my Heart Cherish book to help with the layouts - it gave me step by step directions for the layouts and paper and photo dimensions - making for a quickly scapped page. I also used the Stampin' Up! Stamp of Authenticity Stamp Set for stamping on the tags that came with the MemoryWorks Express Kit.
Here is the link for the Memory Works Monthly Kit - look at all the stuff we got - if your interested in signing up just let me know - I would be your source.
