Sunday Sketch Challenge: Thanks to everyone who played last week - make sure to check out all the great cards in the Sunday Card Sketch Challenge Album on the right sidebar (the albums are in alphabetical order). And how fun was it to see that some of you posted on Splitcoaststampers.com - so cool!!!! Thanks!!
This is the sixth Sunday Sketch Challenge I hope your having as much fun as I am. (please read disclaimer at end of post) This week I'm going to also post the challenge over at Splitcoaststampers - if you'd like to post your card make sure to list "CMSC306" in your keywords - that way we'll have our own little gallery.
Time to play! This is really a simple sketch this week - go to town and see what you come up with!
I have two samples this week - one I made for a Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers and the other card is made for my Design Team over at Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps
This one is called "Color Block Bird"
I've tried to keep it simple - but feel free to take the sketch where ever it may take you - that's fun to see where everyone ends up. HINT: if you click on the photo of the sketch - then right click a little list will come up and then you can click on print - the printed image should be pretty close to a 5.5 X 4.25 card. My two samples are both 5 X 7 - I just like to work with that size - it's easier for me. Please feel free to make your card whatever size you'd like.
After you have the different blocks cut out and you've done with them what you want - turn them all over and tape them together then put them on the matting - trial and error has shown me the way - so I share with you my many errors - teehee!!!
Both of my cards have been sprayed with bleach - heat set - and then rubbed with chocolate ink - then applied to the cream color matting.
If you haven't played with bleach yet your going to love it - you never know how your paper is going to react to the bleach - all papers bleach out differently.
Disclaimer: OK, OK - I know at this point it's Tuesday and I'm only working on Sunday. I've been very busy having fun with my DH and the rest of my wonderful family.
Ate out on Friday down in Fairlawn, the girls came over on Saturday we had dinner, went to see Spiderwick Chronicle and they spent most of Sunday here (I finally have all my Xmas stuff down and put away) and today I went with my daughters and grandchildren to see Waterhorse. And get this it was 1/2 price day at the movie theater - it only cost us each 50 cents - LOL!!
Tomorrow I'll be working on another card for the Prickley Pear Design Team , getting some mailings mailed, and posting my Monday Morning Giveaway. So hopefully by Wednesday I should be on the right day - maybe - well, probably not -teehee!!! Sweet dreams - off to bed!
