Made this manly birthday card for my DSI - today was his birthday. Not to tell tales out of school but Julie and Phil had to cut up one of those big wooden playground sets to put out for the Chardon Trash Day - they only had a small, skinny bladed hand saw. So guess what's inside Phil's Birthday card - yep! - a Home Depot Gift Card!! Hope he liked his birthday card!?!
This is "Handy Man Jack" - isn't he just the cutest and looking pretty handy with that hammer in his hand. Jack was created by Christine from C.C. Designs - you can find him over at All That Scraps.com along with more tools and friends.
I love paper piecing these cute people that Christine creates - so you'll notice Jack's pants, t-shirt, shoes and board are all stamped on other paper. After stamping I carefully cut them out and glued them in place.
This was also for the Color Challenge over at Splitcoastampers.com - that's why your seeing the coral color with the red on this manly card.
(Color Challenge: Real Red, So Saffron and Regal Rose - I needed to subsitute with what I had.)
